In 1990, Chia Ming Chien joined an advertising agency as Copywriter-cum-Creative Director serviced clients that included Citibank, Dow Corning, Bruno Magli, and First Capital Corporation. In 1996, he worked in the same function but with an Internet service provider offering solutions in website development and integrated marketing communications. These clients included Singapore Airlines, East Asiatic Company, Jebsen & Jessen Group, Global Refund, National Library Board, Singapore International Foundation, Make-a-Wish Foundation, and Seksun Group.
Since 2005, he is a full-time freelance copywriter specialising in print and Internet marketing communications serving design agencies and direct clients.

SICC 170th ANNIVERSARY COMMEMORATIVE MAGAZINE
When the Singapore International Chamber of Commerce (SICC) celebrated it’s 170th Anniversary, I was commissioned to conceptualise, research and write the 48-page commemorative magazine. (Design and production: The Print Lodge Pte Ltd.)

CLASSIC IDEAS Corporate Brochure
The client, an up-market furniture designer and manufacturer, wanted a brochure to market its services in Europe. The challenge was to present the company as capable of producing furniture with European-sophistication; at the same time emphasise the cost benefits of an Asian manufacturer. ARCHIFEST 2011: Common Spaces
